Today I started running in Eton in the early morning, to the sound of the Chapel bells and didn’t stop until I hung up from my last conference call at 9pm. In between I had lots of calls with my new team and started really learning more about my exciting new job, I ordered a new car, I took Maddie to swimming lessons and I made a roast chicken. Madeline and I made chocolate chip cookies for her party tomorrow. We are celebrating her birthday because her December party was snowed out. The smell of freshly baked cookies reminds me of my childhood and despite no longer being able to eat them, is still one of my favourite smells, alongside cut grass, Mom’s homemade bread and lilac.
