Part-timers now make up 18.8 per cent of the EU workforce compared to 15.9 per cent in 1999, an increase of 18 per cent, according to statistics from research organization Eurofound. With 26.1 per cent (up from 24.6 per cent in 1999), the UK has one of the highest ratios of part-time to full-time workers in the EU.
